Gardening is a largely non-digital experience. Most of the gardeners we know don't spend their time glued to their computers. In fact, part of the reason gardening is so good is that it's the perfect antidote to our increasingly screen-based lives. It slows us down, teaching us patience. It isn't subject to quick "undo's." It makes us move.
Gardening is also a cultural endeavor. We build on the knowledge of others whose experience goes much deeper and longer than our own. We cultivate our understanding by talking to, asking of, and sharing with others.
Still, it stands to reason that next generation of gardeners is reaching for apps rather than reference books for ideas and answers. These gardeners also expect to connect with others digitally.
We enthusiastically support this trend. We believe there's a tremendous opportunity to create digital tools for gardeners; tools which will give us easy access to information, help chronicle our own gardening adventures, and connect us with others who share our passion.
We're excited by the opportunity. Stay tuned!
